WiP Wed 2/15

Greetings fellow hobbyists! It’s Work in Progress Wednesday, so it’s time to share what’s been on your hobby table this week!

I’ve been working on clearing some commission projects off of my hobby desk. I did some work on the final detailing and assembly on Sigismund and got started on the Von Schill crew you see above.

While it’s not specifically WiP from this week I have some super exciting news to share with you all. This weekend I’ll be heading up to Dallas to take a 2-day airbrush class with the wonderful Caleb and Kat from CK Studios! It’s going to be awesome to see some of my scattered hobby friends again and I’m really looking forward to learning a lot in this class. I’ll definitely have some pictures from that to share with you after this weekend.

What have you been working on?

Wednesday is upon us, which means it’s time for all good hobbyists to share what’s been on their hobby table this week–it’s Work in Progress Wednesday!!!

This week I finally got started on final assembly and touch-ups on the Sigismund commission I’ve been doing for a friend. I also primed up a Von Schill crew I’m painting on commission for another friend. Last and certainly not least, I sculpted a poncho to go on a friend’s Peacekeeper; my friend usually runs Pedro (as the Peacekeeper is known) with his Perdita crew and tends to use Abuela to marry him into the family, hence why he needed the poncho and sombrero.

Before next week I will hopefully have a few more models finished up to share with you all, so keep your eyes peeled for those!

What have you been working on?

Once again it’s Wednesday and that means it’s Work in Progress Wednesday!!!

This week I put paint to miniatures for the first time in far too long. As I want to get my painting mojo running at full tilt before I start in on things I care about, I started in on some Wind Gamin as I never expect those to be on the table for too long; hopefully I’ll have them finished before the week is over. I also started in on the marble bases for Sandeep and Banasuva. I’ve only taken the first step on them so far so there’s still a ways to go before the marble effect is finished, but I can see where I’m going with it now.

Now that I’m back into the swing of things hobbywise and have managed to post things here two weeks in a row, let’s hope that I can keep this going!

What have you been working on?

Hey All! It has been far too long since I have posted anything here; the holidays happened and life happened and before you I knew it, it had been over a month since my last post. Things have finally started to settle down around here, so here’s a quick look at what I’ve been working on for the last week:

With things settled down around here, I will be getting back into the swing of things hobbywise. As I now have a really nice video camera and a rig to film myself doing hobby work, I will also hopefully have a video hobby tutorial put together for you all really soon!

What have you been working on?

Hey all! It has been far to long since I’ve posted anything here–life has gotten crazy busy (’tis the season!) and my house is still being renovated, which means my hobby room is still out of commission.  That being said, the house is coming along nicely and I will hopefully have my hobby room back soon with a new improved layout! On the video front: I have completed a fair amount of research and tonight I will be purchasing the camera I will be using to make all kinds of great gaming videos! Here’s a look at a few of these Works in Progress around the house:

Check back soon to (hopefully) see my new hobby room setup!

What have you been working on?

This week’s Work in Progress Wednesday is a little bit different than my normal WiP Wednesday posts. As my house is still being painted with big brushes, I decided that it was finally time to get around to something I’ve been meaning to do for a while and taught myself some very basic video editing. As you can see from the video above, I have some exciting plans for some cool new features on this blog!

Hopefully the painting of the walls in my hobby room will be finished soon so I can get back to painting miniatures and then start to deliver those videos I promised above. Check back soon, there’s a lot of cool stuff coming here in the near future!

What have you been working on?

Hey everyone! Work in Progress Wednesday is going to be rather brief for me this week as I am prepping to start painting with the big brushes around here–after almost 5 months of repairs from house flooding it’s almost time to get everything painted!

While my hobby room wasn’t damaged in the flood, we decided that since we’re getting everything else painted we might as well get the hobby room and guest room painted while we’re at it. As you can see from the state of my hobby room in the photo on the left, any hobby progress is on hold for a bit; while it’s an inconvenience to my hobbying, it will provide the opportunity to reorganize and rearrange the hobby room to make it even better than ever before! Hopefully by next WiP Wednesday I’ll be able to get a bit of hobbying done and have something more interesting to share with you.

Austin Malifaux #4

Yesterday I drove up to Austin for a Malifaux tournament up in Austin; the tournament took place at the fantastic Dragon’s Lair and was run by the local henchman Robert. Robert is definitely doing something right up in Austin as not only was it a fantastic tournament, but it managed to pull in 19 participants!
