The first day of Gen Con 2015 is in the books and what a day it was!

Our little band of  four started the morning early waiting for the doors to open for the initial rush into the vendor hall; while waiting we even managed to get in a few games of Love Letter! As soon as the doors opened we divided and conquered the crowd in our efforts to get our hands on our must have new-releases. Our planning was clearly well constructed as we managed to get our hands on all of our rush targets and even managed to knock down our secondary targets; some highlights from this rush are Kalidasa (latest Firefly expansion), Munchkin Smash Up, and a rather large stack of Malifaux models.

Most of the rest of the day was spent demoing new games and wandering the vendor floor; I found a few really great new games I’m quite excited about. We closed out our day with our first experience trying out True Dungeon. We did the puzzle oriented version on normal difficulty and had a fantastic time. So, here are photos from our days’ adventures:

With our success at grabbing all of our rush games on the first day, tomorrow should be a much more relaxed morning. I’m looking forward to wandering around the vendor floor and trying out all kinds of great new games.

Come back tomorrow to see what happened on the second day of Gen Con!
