WiPWednesday 9-16 #3

It’s Wednesday! What does that mean? It means that it’s Work in Progress Wednesday, which is much cooler than Throwback Thursday because the future is full of potential [and potential energy if you’re a Weeping Angel (you’re not are you, because that would be weird)]! So enough with the nested parentheses because this week the future is full of fire!

This week I decided to try out sculpting fire out of greenstuff to add some detail to the bases for my Kaeris crew. Kaeris’ buddies are pretty obviously fire themed, but I felt like she didn’t have as of fire going on with her as she should, so I decided that she needed some flames around her feet and coming from her hands. The cobblestone bases I am using for the crew also have little bits of litter lying around on them, so I decided it would be fun to have some of those scraps of paper set on fire.

In other news, I did some more work on the Sigismund commission I’ve been working on; I’m really starting to enjoy working on this model, so hopefully this will make a big leap forward in progress during the week. I also finally pick up a sewing table from a friend, so I started working on some new costume pieces for Ren Faire since that is fast approaching and I determined last year that any of the costume pieces I currently have are far too warm for the first few weekends of faire.

During the coming week and this weekend I hope to get a lot of work done on the various projects I have going. I now also have the challenge of trying to figure out how to organize the latest additions to my hobby room, but I shall (eventually) prevail!
