WiPWednesday 9-30 #1

Wednesday has come again and that means it is time once again for a glimpse at the future! Behold that which is prophesied to come!

Ok, maybe this stuff hasn’t been prophesied, but I’ve been listening to a lot of H.P. Lovecraft audiobooks, re-reading the Mistborn series, and re-watched the entire series of Harry Potter movies and all of those have elements of prophecy to them, so they’re probably warping my mind. Anyway, it’s been a busy week and I haven’t gotten nearly as much done as I wanted to, but a few things are getting close. Enjoy!

As I mentioned above, I have quite a few models that are nearing completion, so I will hopefully have a plethora of finished works to show you very soon. Wyrd Miniatures also has their Rotten Harvest painting contest coming up so I will be working a a couple of pieces to enter into that competition, but the rules prohibit entries which are shown elsewhere; unfortunately this means I won’t be able to show you those entries or tell you what they are until after the results are in , but I will tell you when I have finished something (just not what it is or what category it will be entered in). I do plan on trying to complete entries for multiple categories and I have some great ideas that I am really excited about, so wish me luck on that. Check back soon to see all of the awesome things that I am allowed to show you!

  1. Really enjoy your WIP Wednesday posts, that mechanical rider is really quite something. I think I will need to pick up those airbrush paints as the effect is quite nice, its like a really fine brushed aluminium.

Thanks! The metal parts on the mech rider are preshaded with a black wash, then have two thin layers of Vallejo Model Air 2 parts “Gun Grey”, 1 part “Black”. Still needs some highlights to it, but I love how it looks so far.
