Three days of Gen Con down, one more to go!

Today was mostly a day of running around and trying out new games. My younger brother was able to make it down to Gen Con today, so it was great to spend some time running around with him and demoing new games.

One of my favorite games we got to try out was Mistborn: the Board Game from Crafty Games; this game is based on the amazing Mistborn book series by Brandon Sanderson and was recently funded via Kickstarter (both my brother and I backed it). My brother was the one who introduced me to the series, so it was really cool to get to demo it with him.

Some of the other highlight games of the day were Saloon Tycoon, Mystic Vale, and Terraforming Mars. Once I get a little more rest I’ll do a more comprehensive write up of these games. After a demo of the miniatures game Guild Ball, my Houston friends and I each decided to get ourselves teams. It seems like a really fun, quick skirmish game and the models are going to be tons of fun to paint (I got myself the Mortician’s Guild).

So, here are photos from our days’ adventures:

I will be doing a run through True Dungeon tomorrow, so I’m really looking forward to that. Otherwise, the plan is to try to hit anything I missed on the floor and find any hidden gems I have missed so far.

The adventure continues on Day 4!
