Once again it’s Work in Progress Wednesday, which means it’s time to share what’s been on your hobby table lately! Just a quick post this week as things have been crazy busy for me lately; the photo on the left are a pair of models I threw together last to that I hope to finish which in a few Gen Con prep games I’ve found would come in handy to have with me to run in the Malifaux tournament I’ll be playing in at Gen Con. On the right I have a small fast food tray I ordered off of Amazon to use to carry my selections at the Wyrd booth while I wait to check out as the last couple of years they haven’t had baskets to help keep me from dropping the dozens of boxes of models I inevitably pick up. It will also serve as a conveniently sized tournament tray to carry my models around with me during the tournament and will then fit into my backpack without taking up too much room. So long as I have time, I hope to be able to stencil a fun design onto the tray before I head out.

With Gen Con just a week away, it’s crunch time! Once again I will be sharing my experiences at Gen Con with all of you just as I did last year, so check back starting next Wednesday to see all the fun!

WiPWednesday 7-13

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Work in Progress Wednesday post, so it’s about time I got back to it. I have recovered from Iron Painter, returned from vacation, and pried my self away from Pokemon (never played before but that shit is seriously addictive!) so it’s time to get back to painting! These are a few models I am hoping to get finished up in the next week or so.

Hey everyone, it’s Work in Progress Wednesday! That means it’s time to celebrate that you’ve made it halfway through the week by showing off what’s been on your hobby table! My plan for the week’s hobbying changed up a bit as the Draconic awards at Califaux were canceled due to circumstances beyond their control, so I put the crew I was planning to enter in that competition on hold until after Iron Painter is over; my new plan is to finish the crew up to enter into the Gen Con painting competition. It’s Work in Progress Wednesday, which means it’s time to share what you’ve been working on this week! I finished up my Iron Painter round 4 entry  this week with only a few hours to spare, but that doesn’t mean I am going to take time off from hobbying–I have Califaux to prepare for! I have a few models I’d like to use in the tournament that I need to finish painting and I’d also like to have entries for as many categories as possible in the Draconic Awards, so I’m hoping to get this crew finished up in time.

Most of the work I have to show you here is basing work. I ran out of the cobblestone bases from Secret Weapon Miniatures I normally use, so I decided to sculpt a couple of my own for some models I plan on running in the Friday night Henchman Hardcore tournament at Califaux. I also decided to throw together a crew and display base for them to enter into the Draconic awards; hopefully I’ll be able to finish it up in time.

Hey everyone, it’s Work in Progress Wednesday!!! With all the craziness of Iron Painter and getting things fixed up around the house I haven’t had a ton of time to work on many hobby projects outside of my entry for the fourth round of the Iron Painter competition, but I do have a little non-Iron Painter related progress to report to you. This year I’ll be attending an awesome Malifaux weekend out on the West coast called Califaux; not only does Califaux have a couple of tournaments, but it’s also a host of the Wargamers Consortium’s Draconic Awards. This means that I’m hoping to get a few more models finished which I won’t need in the tournament so I can enter as many categories in the Draconic Awards as possible. I already have entries I would like to put in for Single Miniature and Diorama, so I am hoping to have time to throw something together to enter into the Crew/Squad competition. With that being only a week and a half away, I definitely have some work to do!

What have you been working on?

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to show off what’s been on your hobby desk the last week for Work in Progress Wednesday! It’s been a busy week with less hobby time than I would like, but I’m making solid progress on my Iron Painter entry. I mentioned in another post that the lightning I was sculpting looked a lot like snakes, now that I have pieced some of them together and primed them white I think they look like trees.

What have you been working on?

Hey all! After taking a forced break last week due to Mother Nature’s wrath, I am back with Work in Progress Wednesday! I only have a quick post this week as I’ve only been working on my Iron Painter entry and I just updated you all on that yesterday. Since then, I was able to cut some giant gears out of pink foam to serve as the base of my Iron Painter entry and after several failed attempts I was able to wrap some cables around the carriage bolts I’m using as the upright coils for the Tesla coils which will support Ramos with lightning bolts. Things are coming along nicely and I will hopefully have the layout mocked up tonight!

Hey all! Once again Work in Progress Wednesday is upon us, which means it’s time to show what you’ve been working on all week! It always seems like WiP Wednesday rolls around the fastest when I’m on a deadline; with less than a week left until my round 2 entry for Iron Painter 2016 that has been my focus lately. I definitely have a few late nights coming up if I want to finish this piece in time; I suppose it’s appropriate that this round turn me into a zombie…

WiPWednesday 3-30 #1

I finished my first round Iron Painter entry and am waiting on the judging results to determine what tier I’ll be competing in and what the round 2 theme is, but that doesn’t mean I’m just resting on my laurels–there’s always painting to do!!! This means that it’s time to keep your butts in gear and show off what you’ve been working on because it’s Work in Progress Wednesday!!!
