Hey All! It has been far too long since I have posted anything here; the holidays happened and life happened and before you I knew it, it had been over a month since my last post. Things have finally started to settle down around here, so here’s a quick look at what I’ve been working on for the last week:

With things settled down around here, I will be getting back into the swing of things hobbywise. As I now have a really nice video camera and a rig to film myself doing hobby work, I will also hopefully have a video hobby tutorial put together for you all really soon!

This week’s Work in Progress Wednesday is a little bit different than my normal WiP Wednesday posts. As my house is still being painted with big brushes, I decided that it was finally time to get around to something I’ve been meaning to do for a while and taught myself some very basic video editing. As you can see from the video above, I have some exciting plans for some cool new features on this blog!

Hopefully the painting of the walls in my hobby room will be finished soon so I can get back to painting miniatures and then start to deliver those videos I promised above. Check back soon, there’s a lot of cool stuff coming here in the near future!

After a gaming filled three day weekend, Work in Progress Wednesday has a way of creeping up on all of us, but that’s no excuse to not at least have a little something to share.

It seems like only a week since the last Work in Progress Wednesday…

Wait a minute, that means that today is WiP Wednesday!!! Time to show everyone what you’ve been working on this week!

Once again it’s the middle of the week, which means that it’s Work in Progress Wednesday!! This week I see if five different games can coexist on one hobby table! (more…)

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to share what you’ve been working on this week! Having been either on the road to/from Indianapolis or at Gen Con itself from last Tuesday up until late Monday night, I haven’t gotten much actual hobby work accomplished; most of my Work in Progress currently is recovering from Gen Con and catching up on real life commitments. I did learn some really cool painting and sculpting techniques that I’m looking forward to trying out on my models once I clean up my hobby room a bit. As I don’t have much in the way of miniatures to show of as works in progress this week, I felt I should share my Gen Con haul (I’ve got to get it sorted an organized, so that’s some WiP, right?).

Once again it’s Work in Progress Wednesday, which means it’s time to share what’s been on your hobby table lately! Just a quick post this week as things have been crazy busy for me lately; the photo on the left are a pair of models I threw together last to that I hope to finish which in a few Gen Con prep games I’ve found would come in handy to have with me to run in the Malifaux tournament I’ll be playing in at Gen Con. On the right I have a small fast food tray I ordered off of Amazon to use to carry my selections at the Wyrd booth while I wait to check out as the last couple of years they haven’t had baskets to help keep me from dropping the dozens of boxes of models I inevitably pick up. It will also serve as a conveniently sized tournament tray to carry my models around with me during the tournament and will then fit into my backpack without taking up too much room. So long as I have time, I hope to be able to stencil a fun design onto the tray before I head out.

With Gen Con just a week away, it’s crunch time! Once again I will be sharing my experiences at Gen Con with all of you just as I did last year, so check back starting next Wednesday to see all the fun!

WiPWednesday 7-13

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Work in Progress Wednesday post, so it’s about time I got back to it. I have recovered from Iron Painter, returned from vacation, and pried my self away from Pokemon (never played before but that shit is seriously addictive!) so it’s time to get back to painting! These are a few models I am hoping to get finished up in the next week or so.

Hey everyone, it’s Work in Progress Wednesday! That means it’s time to celebrate that you’ve made it halfway through the week by showing off what’s been on your hobby table! My plan for the week’s hobbying changed up a bit as the Draconic awards at Califaux were canceled due to circumstances beyond their control, so I put the crew I was planning to enter in that competition on hold until after Iron Painter is over; my new plan is to finish the crew up to enter into the Gen Con painting competition. (more…)

It’s Work in Progress Wednesday, which means it’s time to share what you’ve been working on this week! I finished up my Iron Painter round 4 entry  this week with only a few hours to spare, but that doesn’t mean I am going to take time off from hobbying–I have Califaux to prepare for! I have a few models I’d like to use in the tournament that I need to finish painting and I’d also like to have entries for as many categories as possible in the Draconic Awards, so I’m hoping to get this crew finished up in time.

Most of the work I have to show you here is basing work. I ran out of the cobblestone bases from Secret Weapon Miniatures I normally use, so I decided to sculpt a couple of my own for some models I plan on running in the Friday night Henchman Hardcore tournament at Califaux. I also decided to throw together a crew and display base for them to enter into the Draconic awards; hopefully I’ll be able to finish it up in time.
